Such fun! A restaurant with fine food and an irreverent attitude in the Old Town pedestrian area. Convenient to the opera house, Miribelle Gardens and Marionette Theater. Small & crowded with afficionados, it's worth calling ahead for a reservation.

The place itself is attractive, with an indoor no-smoking area. In addition to outside seating there is also an indoor courtyard. Service was friendly and efficient. The menu is typical for the area. One of our meals was very good, the other less so, hence the "average" rating. The beer and house red wine are excellent.
Clean and huge food portions good for a hearty meal. Has beautiful street and inside dinning. A great place for lunch or dinner.
Need to get a reservation or go early, this is a lovely place to eat. I had the Weiner Schitnzel and it was a good portion. I looked around and saw a few plates of mixed sausages with sauerkraut which looked really good. Waiters are vey friendly and there is an English menu available.
It was recommended by Lonely Planet and near our hotel so we stopped in on a Saturday evening. We were fortunate to get a table. The beer was excelent. I had the lamb chops which were some of the best I've had in a long time and at a surprisingly reasonable price. My wife had a pork dish that was...

Although we had read that the restaurant gets very busy, we were prepared to take our time, have a beer at the bar and wait for an open table outside. The staff must be used to people complaining about the wait because they bent over backwards to accommodate us. The beer was delicious (Bavarian brews), the food was delicious and,...

Went with a couple friends here. We were all really happy with the food. The restaurant has a cosy almost rustic feel. Pretty cheap not more than $12-15 per person. Definitely recommend the dumplings. Service was pretty bad though and at one point our waiter left the premises and we had to flag down someone else to get our check.
This is one of Salzburgs best restaurants. Nicely located, Austrian style decoration, friendly and professional service and excellent food. Each time we went there the place was full and people stood outside, waiting for a table too be freed. Next holiday in this wonderfull city, we know where to eat.
Nice traditional decor, warm atmosphere, staff very friendly and lovely food - can recommend the Cordon Bleu, and Apple Strudel for dessert. Gets busy so best to book or go early, especially if you want a table to yourselves as they have no qualms about sitting you next to other parties. We went mid-week around 6pm and it was fine.
I went to this restaurant with friends, as it was just around the corner from our hotel (NH Hotel) and it looked like a cosy kind of place.
The food was excellent - a couple of friends had the Backhendl-Salat (salad with fried chicken) and the ingredients were really varied and fresh. I had the Grillteller (mixed-grill) and it was...
