You will find excellent food here, service is quite slow, so take your time! But if you are not in a hurry you can enjoy a great time. Be aware it's quite cramped with tables, and usually full to the last chair, so you better make a reservation.

What is a Trattoria? According to Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia , a Trattoria is an Italian-style eating establishment, less formal than a ristorante, but more formal than an osteria. There are generally no printed menus, the service is casual, wine is sold by the decanter rather than the bottle, prices are low, and the emphasis is on a steady clientele... More

My Mom and I enjoyed a phenomenal lunch here. The atmosphere was cozy, charming and non pretentious. The staff was equally enjoyable. Immediately when we sat down 3 starters were put on the table (which we didn't have to order), an Olive mezze with sundried tomatoes and beans, Maltese cheese and baguette, and aubergine and tomato salad. We shared a... More

Expensive, not so refined, mostly crowded for lunch, thus no comfort. Noisy. Not as good as spoken by many.Food ok, but expensive.

Book and enjoy. Really great atmosphere, help yourself to the wine cabinet and great food. As there was 6 we got a selection of what was fresh on the day, all without fault.

Atmosphere, service, attention to clients and superb food (take their recommendations and you cannot go wrong) make this one of my favorites in Valletta. Reasonable prices. Always full of regular locals and casual business people.

The best thing about this restaurant is the wonderful, rustic atmosphere. The moment we stepped inside we felt like we were had entered the world of the locals. The food was fresh and simply prepared... my partner said it was the best liver he had ever tasted. We were a bit surprised when the bill came... we had expected a... More

The best place for top notch food, good luck finding a free table. If you do let the staff guide you and don't be picky, leave it in their very capable hands

This was the best food we had during our 6 day trip to Malta. It is obviously very popular and you must make a booking or there is little chance of just walking in and getting a table. The service is good even though they are rushed off their feet. We had to wait a bit extra for our table... More
