What a great place! My daughter loves this restaurant. She studied abroad in Copenhagen and it is the first restaurant we visited. The food is good and fairly priced. I loved the environment. A good find for pricey Copenhagen.

It's wonderful to have an inexpensive meal over wifi while surrounded by books. Near the U of Copenhagen, this is a gem.

We stumbled across this book cafe by accident. What a find. Great location , near the University, lots of books old and new. ..and great food at reasonable prices. Try the Paludan burger (beef, chicken or goats cheese) you won't be disappointed.

Worth a detour. We had the Paludan Brunch - a very tasty and interesting combination of foods. Go when you are really hungry! ;)

As a college student i always loved this sort of envirnment. A cozy old library feel with fantastic food a mixed crowd and very pleasant staff. If you are hitting the books and want to change things up or want a sure shot budget meal in a very pricey city paludan is a winner.

I've been there only once to have some tea and the atmosphere is great, with all those books, different chairs everywhere, nice service, soft light, big windows... And good prize for EXPENSIVE Copenhagen!
As soon as I go back to eat something, I'll let you know(and I'll show you, too (; )

Paludan is one of my favourite cafés in Copenhagen!
It has a cozy and relaxed atmosphere and you can sit there for hours and just talk. The food is very good and (in Copenhagen prices) very cheap :)
If visiting Copenhagen as a tourist try to join in at Paludan and just relax a bit :)

I have lived in Copenhagen for a couple of months for my Erasmus exchange program.

Not only the coffee is very good, but they also serve delicious food. The cakes are delightful!
Also I have to mention that Paludan is very popular and...

I love this cosy but huge book lined cafe, busy with a mixed crowd including many students. Have tried beers, coffees and great cakes here so can't comment on the wider food menu but I came twice in 24 hours this trip to CPH and would come back.
