A friend and I were in Lisbon for a conference and were recommended this place for typical Portuguese food. We arrived pretty early for lunch and quickly it began filling up with Portuguese business men and women in suits. All of these people got excellent service but us being lowly non natives in jeans got ignored and not a hint... More

We recently spent 4 nights in Lisbon and after a very ordinary meal on the first evening a couple staying at our hotel recommended Solar dos Presuntos. We ate there for the next 3 nights as the food was wonderful. When you arrive there is a plate each of octopus, dried ham, which they are famous for, olives and wonderful... More

We have arrived, without previous knowledge about this restaurant, and lavagantes, lobsters, giant shrimps and other delicious seafood exposed took our atention. Plainly we have got in, and we was surprised with one of the best meals I have had in my entire life. Slowly the restaurant started to get completely full, with people claiming their reservations, while our food... More

We tried this restaurants after suggestion from our friendly receptionists at the hotel we stayed. We arrived quite early, as suggested, because the restaurant is often crowded. Indeed it was, but the nice yet discreet waiter found us a table for two, in the middle of the ground floor room, which is full of paintings and with a very nice... More

this place was recommended to me by friends who have said that it has the best octopus in Portugal. I cannot claim that they have the best octopus in Portugal but it was definitely the best octopus I have eaten in Portugal and I am a big fan of ''octopus''. My friends ate some fish and crab it was good... More

As we walked in we knew : full of locals, always a good sign ! With lobster specialties at affordable prices, a great menu, fun waiters with a good sense of humor this was a nice place to spend an evening. Everything ordered was excellent and plentiful. It is a narrow 3 stories house and as the ground floor was... More

The restaurant seems to be a hit amongst locals, we went for lunch and the place was full of what it seemed to be portuguese executives on business lunches. The walls are all covered with frames of pictures of the staff with famous clients and other personalities that visited the restaurant. The staff was not particularly friendly (but they did... More

The multiple Michelin recommendation batches on their window originally caught our attention when passing by. We returned later in the evening -- and got the two last seats. Please book in advance! We had seafood and that was really tasty, also the Vinho Verde white recommendation was excellent. Starters, seafood for two plus a good wine costed about 80€. Well... More
