If you are looking for traditional portuguese food, for unexpensive price at central location in Cascais, you should give a try to apeadeiro. Many locals eat there, the food is good and the service ok.

Not a great atmosphere and the decor is simple - but the food is excellent and knocks the spots off some of the more "touristy" restaurants. Great appetisers that negate the need for any starters. As a restaurant atmosphere, not a Big deal, but the food is good and the price is fair. a couple minutes from downtown.. nice streets to walk although narrow sidewalks

Fish the speciallity here. We were give a range of appetisers to start with that included mushrooms, cheese, peppers, olives and bread. It was like a mini meze which was enough of a starter for the two of us. Excellent value for the food and house wine.

This is an average restaurant with average food at comfortable prices; service tends to be slow, but friendly. The dining room doesn't have any atmosphere. There are much better choices in Cascais.
