Was recommended to go here by the B&B owner. It was very good local food. Nicely out of the way of the tourist area. By comparison I would say that it was a little pricey for what it was.

Easy to book with English speaking staff, great steak, it's what we went for and it delivered on every front, mine as I like it medium rare and my wife's almost cremated to a cinder. We opted for the house red and it was superb. We shared a starter and desert and the staff were not put off by this...

A big city foodie resturaunt in fairly small town.
Bruge isn't all that big. It's the sort of place you can walk [ to everything interesting] in a day. Tom's Diner was exactly the type of off-the-beaten-path local's fine dinning we were looking for.
Small, cozy. You should probably make a reservation. Don't worry,...

This small restaurant outside the tourist areas, but an easy walk if you have a good map, is so popular with locals that reservations are necessary -- even for early in the evening. The menu has about 8 choices for entrees as well as about the same number of options for tapas or starters -- so lots of choices if...

The menu variety the service and the atmosphere. Almost impossible to get in on a Saturday night - booking essential!
We stumbled across this great little restaurant near our hotel during a recent stay in Bruges. Being away from the main tourist centre is one of its biggest draws. Situated in an unassuming residential area (only 15 min walk from the centre) it would be easy to miss it. Cozy, warm atmosphere. Extremely well presented and unique dishes and a...

This unusually-named restaurant is somewhat off the tourist track, but still very easily walkable from the main squares. It sits in a quiet neighborhood on a corner of two side streets - it felt like only locals would know about it as it is unassuming but comfortable. The service was very good and the food was interesting and well-prepared -...

Just loved the food there. Plates not overloaded, nicely presented and good quality. Had 2 small children with us and they were happy to provide smaller portions of some of the meals. Not all that cheap but definitely not tourist food! Highly recommended.
Tim's Diner was warm and cozy. Candle lit and light wood decor. Almost like a log cabin inside. We ate on the second floor and were the first table sat upstairs but it QUICKLY filled up. Food was great. I had a pan fried cod and my mate had shrimp w/ pasta. We both had deserts which were delicious. The...
