When we sat down we remembered it was the cafe we visited on our previous visit to Bruges a few years earlier. On that occasion there was a sign outside claiming the best hot chocolate in Bruges. It is a great place for coffee and sweets and you get some complimentary chocolates as well.

Have frequented this cafe on each of three visits to Bruges just for the hot chocolate! The apple cake is delicious, as is the chocolate cake - you get two big slices in a portion. It's always busy but the service is quick, friendly and efficient.

We enjoyed our chocolate drink with chocolates and a lemon cheese cake. The sugar rush kept us going all afternoon! Very busy but worth the wait.

What a lovely place this is! Wish there were places like this in London. We went and sat in the back room which had a roaring fire going and sweet little candles lit everywhere.
