Metropole has two great things: a spacious terrace in the heart of Leuven and the best spaghetti in town. The sauce is home made and once tried, you never want anything else! Rest of the menu is cafe-style: ok, but nothing special. Downside is the staff: uninterested, not attentive. Pity, otherwise it would have been the perfect hangout! Lots of... More

It's more a "brasserie" with cheap and good spaghetti's, salads,omolettes, is a good place with a lot of light for a drink and a snack More

This is the meeting place for the locals. There is always somebody for a friendly chat. For the hungry ones there is a nice menu and daily surprises. Not a 3 star restaurant, but you will never be disappointed. A good atmosphere, good food and all of this for a small price. More

Visited this cafe on a quiet Thursday afternoon. Ordered 4 simple meals which never came after an hour of waiting. Eventually left after owner agreed we shouldn't pay for our one round of drinks. He had initially threatened to call the police if we didn't pay him €7.70. More

Belgium is famous for beers and we tried a few at this lovely cafe in the centre of town. The cafe is in a beautiful building in the perfect location. The cafe is child friendly and the service excellent. Lots of ambience and the perfect place to while away a lazy afternoon- especially when the weather is good. More
