Fabulous service, food and wine. The restaurant is a hidden gem, tucked away in Old Town. The food was excellent and plated right by the table. Overall a wonderful experience!

Food was incredible. Service was amazing. Best restuarant in Switzerland. It was so good, we booked to go again when we are only here on holiday for 10 days!
With a 500 year history, this restaurant is worth visiting just for the interior decor, especially the ceiling in the upstairs dining room. Great menu, good service, and the food was excellent, recommended
This is a great restaurant in Zurich old town and very traditional. The food and wine is top class, as is the service. We had a really enjoyable dinner here and would definitely recommend even though it is expensive.
For me the mark of a good restaurant is how they serve the bread - recycled left overs from each table or on invitation, fresh and warm from a tray with a pair of servers and kept far from guests and staff. This restaurant offers...you a delicious selection of bread from a basket and so avoiding wasted food and the need to recycle bread that’s been fondled by guests and wait staff and catches spittle as it is talked over whilst it sits on the tables. Yum yum…not but sadly the practice every where. The meals are fine too, good quality, well cooked. Nothing to complain about.More
You can't see the restaurant from street level, but I was lured in by their set lunch for 30SFr. What a find! Inside is a gorgeous, small restaurant with beautiful wooden ceilings. The table was beautifully set with crisp linens and fresh flours and the...butter served in a silver dish. The set lunch was divine and I would take any opportunity to eat there again!More
I chose this restaurant very carefully as it was my birthday, and my first time overseas in 2 and a half years (thanks Covid). I could not have chosen better - this was my dream swiss restaurant in the heart of Zurich, really cosy, great...service, it was the complete package. But its food that is most important to me, and neither myself or my 3 guests were disappointed. I had the barley soup to start & then the entree portion of duck liver with salad. Both were terrific and the duck liver was plenty. My friends had respectively Wiener Schnitzel, Geschnatzlets with roesti, and Wild (game menu) - all were served in traditional two portions, hearty and delicious food. For the quality and experience, I thought it was exceptional value for a special occasion dinner.More
Excellent service and beautiful food. Great menu too. If you’re not sure what to get, ask for the house recommendations. Lovely surrounding neighbourhood as well.
Well known, traditional restaurant with nice atmosphere, good food and excellent service. If you want to have lunch or dinner in a restaurant with not too many tables, traditional and cosy atmosphere, good food and service you should not miss to visit the Veltlinerkeller. They...offer many traditional dishes such as the Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, one of the best in Zurich. Prices are on the higher side, but comparable to other restaurants of this standing. Always a pleasure to go back.More
For a memorable and special treat, make a reservation at this very elegant restaurant. The restaurant has a centuries old tradition of serving meals. The venue is beautiful, the service is excellent, and the food is delicious.
After walking around Zürich for the day we stumbled on this spot past more touristy spots. It had a mix of local and foreign patrons. The service was outstanding. They were friendly, helpful and had excellent suggestions. The food was excellent. Excellent. I had the...Weiner schnitzel and pomme frites which were both delicious. My companion had veal Marsala with spaetzle and local Swiss beer. Also excellent. I highly recommend this spot. Historic, delicious, great service.More
I've been visiting Zurich for years, and this place is what eating in Zurich is meant to be. The room is carved wood, the service is excellent, and the food is Swiss! I love going there. When you finish your wonderful meal, they bring the...leftovers, and you eat again! Just as most places in Zurich used to be.More
This lovely traditional restaurant in the old town, is close to the river and Bahnhofstrasse. Very cosy relaxing atmosphere perfect for quiet conversation with friends and excellent food. Wood panelled surrounds and low ceilings. Friendly attentive staff - English spoken. The food is very good...and beautifully presented, I had three courses and enjoyed everything - the main course substantial and sadly I could not quite finish it all - as extra vegetables were also served. The menu is mainly traditional Swiss / European. Very good wine list, but "open" wine from a smaller selection is available if dining alone as I did. I very much enjoyed the food and atmosphere here and would certainly visit again when in Zurich. It is expensive, but only similar prices to other good restaurants in Zurich and worth it. Reservations recommended especially for later evenings and Fridays.More
We were lucky to be invited to this restaurant by friends and it was a really enjoyable evening. The place is small and makes for good conversation with whomever you're dining with. It has very stylish decor, reminding all of its age. The choices represent...typically Swiss dining and are all served with a friendly and professional style. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to assist with your choice. My wife is vegetarian and they made sure she had a good choice. All the courses were full of flavour and a great size. Beware that the main course is served in two portions so once you think you've finished, they bring the rest! I enjoyed that! The wine list is excellent and the desserts are also very good. We had a great time here.More
