Description: The Wilden Mann Stube (parlour) in Luzern, which has been awarded 14 points in the prestigious Gault-Millau Swiss guide, offers and elegant room for a festive dinner. With great attention to detail, head chef, Tobias Kofmel, produces creative cuisine steeped in tradition, inspired by whatever is on offer at the local market. However, he also has great ability at using his knowledge of international cuisine to great creative effect, producing his own contemporary combinations. On the menu, you will find interesting options such as tomato, herb and olive pralines accompanied by a rocket salad with Puschlaver dry-cured ham, beef fillet Stroganoff prepared at the table, or chocolate sour cream slices with a kumquat compote (stewed citrus fruit). There are always numerous options for vegetarians available on the menu. Restaurant manager, Viktor Spath, serves a great choice of outstanding wine from all over the world to accompany your meal. For those of you who wish to enjoy the culinary experience with a cigar or cigarette, it is possible to relax in either the smoker's lounge, or the smokers restaurant Burgerstube (Burger parlour). As a particular highlight at the Wilder Mann Stube (parlour), there are numerous events to take part in, such as the murder mystery dinners. Under the motto: a Lucullan meal for the palate, and witty criminal case to solve for the mind. A crime to solve alongside an outstanding 3 course set menu, all part of the service from the staff. All this, just to get the taste buds going.

We were weathered in while staying at the hotel and so ate there. We were not disappointed. Our waitress was a delightful young lady who spoke fluent English, High German, French and the local local Swiss dialect. The menu had lots of regional specialties and haute cuisine menu items. We each chose the schnitzel. The welcoming treat from the kitchen... More

If you want the full-on Swiss experience this is probably the place to go. Just don't expect any cooking from the last few decades

Cozy Swiss restaurant. Wooden decorations inside make it feel traditional. My friend had a dinner set of three course, which was CHF56. I had luzern style pastry with meatball (luzerner chügrlipastele), which was CHF33. Dishes looked good and tasted good although they were a bit salty than expected. We were greeted by the chef compliment of a starter: salmon and... More

Loved everything about this hotel we stayed in Oct 2004 but I wouldn't hesitate to return and stay there. It's perfect old Swiss/German architecture.

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary with an overnight at Hotel Wilden Man, and enjoyed a fine dinner in Restaurant Sauvage. We found everything to be first-rate: service, quality of food, even the table setting, which was put on just to help us celebrate. The autumn menu featured wild boar as the main course; when I asked for... More

We attended in the evening after a concert at the "Lucerne Festival im Sommer" and had a most pleasurable meal. Service was little slow at first because the place was full but the owner didn’t hesitate to give a hand. Food was delightful in quality and were recommended an excellent white Swiss wine. Recommend highly.

Ate here with a group of people. Chef Simon sent out a lovely amuse bouche of steak tartare and salmon mouse. Not many had starters but we then had to wait for our main course as we were late arriving and a large group had arrived ahead of us in an already full restaurant. The restaurant manager was very apologetic... More

Wilden Mann is a gem of a place in Lucerne. We had both a fish and meat main course that were fantasic as was the soup and appetizer. The food was very creative and although listed as "Swiss" this is a gourmet place - not at all your typical swiss rosti and beef steak joint. Highly recommend dining here if... More

The waitresses were very friendly and the food was excellent. We had cold melon soup with mint which was wonderful, and filled Rösti and the club sandwich. We didn't order dessert but got an assortment of chocolates and cookies which were also very good. We enjoyed our lunch and will definitely return. Very charming and quiet outdoor seating.
