Wonderful fondue dinner in a quite traditional atmosphere. Food was very good, but the wine disappointing, especially the recommended white.
We went to le Gruyerien at the recommendation of our hotel's concierge. It was well worth the short cab ride from the river area. We let the waitress recommend both the wines and our meal and were really impressed. We had two fondues, the goat cheese and the half and half. They were both really different but each so wonderful.... More
I read about this place on the net & thought...yep we're going there. We ended up walking 4km to get there. Once there it was a cute & homely place. The inside was warm and smelt of cheese. I knew what I wanted before I even looked at the menu. Once the cheese fondue came out I couldn't believe my... More
Our hotel recommended this restaurant out in the suburbs right on a tram line, so it was easy to get to. They have 2 locations but the hotel said this one was best. Good fondue and a cosy atmosphere.
This is our favourite place for cheese fondue in Geneva. Friendly staff, great food, atmosphere is homely. Kids are being paid special attention, which is nice. Reservations are probably a good idea.
a casual restaurant that was a bit pricey. we had a meat platter and 1/2 and 1/2 fondue for 2, along with a couple pints that totaled 90 swiss francs. a huge pot of delicious cheese was presented that the two of us couldn't even finish...and we were quite hungry! the staff were helpful in offering suggestions for the order,... I wanted it to be special for my first time. And this was. Charming hosts and a delicious fondue served with crisp white wine. What I didn't expect were the vivid and disturbing dreams that night. That's what you get for eating cheese before bedtime I suppose. Don't let that put you off. If you like cheese then this is... More
you can also go to the Bergerie at the Gare routière which is in Center town...same owner ! All typical plates
A restaurant serving excellent fondue with very friendly proprietors. Off the tourist map along the route of the number 12 tram. Well worth a visit if one is looking for fondue in Geneva.
I will start by this is our first negative review and that the fondue was the best we've ever had and we travel quite a bit. The service was terrible which we were OK with up to a point (it is coming a bit further in our review) and we ordered the fondue (around 30 euro) and waited with excitement.... More
