Small restaurant 200m from Piazza del Duomo, close enough for convenience and far enough from greatest tourist traps. It is place for simple food like pasta and some seafood. I even got nice glass of wine. Very good service and kind staff.
The food wasn't the best we had whilst there but the portions were huge & the price was low. Personally, I'd rather pay more & have smaller portions but if you're looking for value then this is the place for you.

My fiance and i are just back from diner and we had a great time. Very kind staff and delicios food. The carbonara pizza was outstanding! Other restaurant owners in Santa Maria try to pull you off the street but at Il peperoncino the atmosphere is realy unforced. Bellisima!!

Went here twice once for a beer - well needed after our walking around Pisa. they brought complimentary bruschetta - so much in fact we didn't want dinner that evening. We returned for a pizza on our last day which was really crispy and delicious. Great place.
