So many interesting and unusual flavours it's difficult to know which to choose. A wonderful end to a busy and tiring day walking around the city. Definitely a must-do. Very good value authentic Italian ice cream. Delicious.

Italian gelato is the best ice cream in the world. In each city we visit we sample the gelateria; this is a most rewarding hobby. Veneta is great, it has excellent fruit flavors, smiling service and the best pistachio I have had for a long time, perhaps ever, and also their ginger gelato is fantastic. Go and happily enjoy.

This place has been around since 1927 and is reckoned to serve some of Lucca's best ice cream by many. I cannot disagree. Wonderful fruit gelati and sorbets. Unusually, we sat inside as there are several tables, and there are toilet facilities too. Not only do they have a shop right by one of the Porta's, but they have a little truck that goes around the city that you can wave down if you want a gelato on the go. The fruit ones are the best!

As an icecream lover I just couldn't go enough to this gelateria. The choice of flavours is immense and all that I tried were fantastico :) Highly recommended are the Mirtillo (cranberry) and the Pesce (peach).

A welcome respite to sit and have a gelato. Service is great, had some free tasters and the ice....well divine.

Best so far in Florence area. I had the peach, cherry and melon truly scrumptious little more to say.

Pine nut, rice, fig, of course pistachio, melon. All delicious. Service was slightly brusque, but the ices compensated!
