Great pizza, and relaxed athmosphere. Service could have been better, but overall a gret visit. We were approx 20 people having a great night, and some really good pizza and wine :)
We were looking for a quick bite after the Pucinni concert and this fit the bill. It's also nice that Piazza San Franceso is not a real touristy area so you get to see another part of Lucca.
We found this on our first trip into Lucca as great little car park next to it. On Via Vittore.Emanuele and just a few minutes walk to main Piazza Michele. Very good value pizza slices (€1.50) and really tasty pizza sandwich ( never did find out what they are called in Italian!) at €2.50. Drinks very reasonable and their Gelateria... More
Just nice for a quiet pizza. Popular with locals. Inexpensive and cheerful. Has a nice cafe on the other side of the square.
although cheap, this is the place to find best pizza in town. and, of corse, best icecream. i guess their advantage is that they are not close to amphitheater area, so that they can have very decent prices and top quality. we've spent an week in lucca and, although we stayed quite opposite to this place, we walked to it... By luck we stayed within a short distance of this pizza nirvana and quickly appreciated the range taste and value. The staff were helpful to tourists speaking English but it is obvious that the locals know about this little treasure. Wood fired oven producing thin crust pizza to die for! Highly recommended they will do a pizza or sell you... More
We had very good pizza for a reasonable price. Good place where to go if you are hungry and on budget. I would not choose this place for romantic dinner or bussines lunch. The meal must be good -there was a lot of local people.
Other family members had told us about this pizza place and we visited the first time in 2007, we came back again on our way to Cinque Terre to try it again. The pizza was just as good as my husband remembered it and his mother raved about the white pizza.
One of our most favourite pizza places in Lucca. Simple and tasty, thin crust pizzas. Always busy and seems to be a favourite of the young. We've enjoyed this ristorante several times over the past two visits and will do it one more time before we leave. Price for two with a litre of wine is around 20 euro.
