I love to walk up to Pian dei Giulari the country side just above the look out point of Piazzale Michelangelo. In front of the once home of Galileo you will find Omero. A fine dining and excellent restaurant.

We celebrated a special occasion up here in this magnificant yet cozy trattoria today and although never really write about restaurants since there are so many good ones in our area....this one is a cut above and deserves mention. We have been coming here for over 20 years now and it just remains so delicious and always friendly and welcoming...

Trattoria Omero is one of my favorite places. The view is magnificient. If you have time, you can get there in 25min walk from San Miniato through beautiful roads and cypress park..the food is absolutely delicious (prosciutto, cervello fritto, carciofi fritti!!!), real Tuscan and the staff is very friendly and there since ever! Very familiar and special atmosphere. It is...

A very real Florentine trattoria, a little difficult to get to but that just maintains the local feel, as not many tourists can get up to it. Lovely outlook, friendly and elegant staff, most delicious food!

We had lunch here at the suggeestion of a friend as well as our tour guide in Florence. It was all they described. The food was delicious; the service prompt but not overbearing, and the setting is nothing short of spectacular. We had the Florentine steak for 2. Tasty and perfectly done. It's a bit expensive, but the quality, service...

Went to Trattoria Omero for dinner last night with family of 7. My 19 year old nephew ordered the beefsteak and they charged us 79 euros for his one steak!!! Incredible. My husband hadn't realizeed the excessive charge until we returned to our hotel. We'll be following up this morning with the Trattoria as there must have been a mistake...
