This gelateria is a 5-10 minute walk from the Palazzo Pitti and Santo Spirito but worth it (think of it as burning off some of the calories from the ice-cream!). The piazza it's on was buzzing with locals chatting and kids playing football late afternoon, but don't let the atmosphere distract you or you'll miss the gelateria which is just... More

Well, technically it's tied for the best with Cantina del Gelato, but it turns out both establishments have the same supplier and serve the same ice cream. The owner at La Sorbettieria is very friendly and speaks excellent English, and part of the fun of going there is seeing what new flavors are available, as a couple of the flavors... More

If only this gelato store was closer to our hotel we would be here twice a day! Instead we visited it after Gusta Pizza & it topped off a lovely meal The guy serving was fantastic & we sampled a few flavours before making our choice. My boyfriend said the banana flavour was his favourite. The caramel salt, hazenlnut &... More

Over the bridge, past all of the touristy areas, right next to this little park, you'll find one of the best gelatos I have ever had in my ENTIRE LIFE. No joke. So, I found this place on trip advisor and the reviews were so high, I just HAD TO drag my friends along with me. It's a walk away... More

The "Ghiaccioli" are absolutely fantastic! Genuine frozen fruit, perfect if you're looking for refreshment... Yummy! The ice cream is hand made, with a good choice of flavours, some of them really uncommon. Worth a walk!

After almost getting into an argument over that fact that we had walked so far to find La Sorbettiera and it did not appear to be at Piazza Tasso...we finally found it (and felt very silly, as it was behind us the whole time....)! It was worth it in the end. Just a word of warning - do not use... More
