Lucky me! For the past three years I have eaten at Cuco each time I am in Florence. My born and raised Florentine friends are regulars and introduced me. Never a bad meal. Never poor service. Chef Stephano is innovative and creative. Small, intimate, nothing big or overwhelming to sit on. Reservations should be made. Menu appears to change daily,... More

With an amuse-bouche of smoked cheese and pear, we were hooked. On this day, a pope was chosen and we were late to find a restaurant. TripAdvisor pointed us to a pizzeria that didn't exist and I secretly wanted to try this cute little restaurant I saw on the way to our rented apartment. The chalkboard advertising "Proper Food" had... More

Cuco provided fresh local cuisine with a single plate option for entree and salad. The food was delicious, the price very reasonable and although we did not have time to sample the wine selection looked fabulous.

We ate dinner here and loved the contemporary food combinations. We enjoyed delicious crostini, and the lasagna was delicious, the smoked pork chop was also tender and tasty. Look for the black cabbage quiche, don't pass it up! Highly recommend.

The food here is excellent and very good value. The mushroom lasagne was universally agreed by my family to be the best we have ever eaten. We left as well with foodie produce - a black olive panatone (yes sweet), pistachio paste and truffle balsamics. Highly recommended.

We went to Cuco after seeing the reviews on here and were more than happy with the choice. If we weren't looking for it, we'd have walked right by, which is a good thing in a way! There are only 5 tables in the place and it's contemporary decor is what we like. The menu is unusual and given to... More

So, if you're like me you always review the "terribles" first. Be warned, if you want the same old Tuscan fare - stay away. If you want something up beat and fresh, don't miss out by passing Cucu by. We stopped in before boarding our train to Rome for a quick bite (5 minute walk to the central train station).... More

Without single word of a lie, the meals I have eaten at CUCO restaurant have been some of the best food I have eaten in all of Italy. Maybe all of Europe!? So good in fact, I went back the next night! If I was in Florence any longer, I would be seated there again! Period! Although a little hidden... More

We had dinner at Cuco, and it was one of the best Italian dinners we had during our holiday. Pure flavours and well prepared meals, combined with good service. Nothing to complain about, really fantastic!
