Tiny place, Very welcoming owners, good wine at a good price, and a small wooden bench outside to enjoy your glass of chianti. Perfect preliminary to the good restaurants nearby
You would think in Florence there would be many wine bars to choose from but there are not. La Gabbia was a small place with a nice selection of wines and complimentary nibbles (not sure if that is everyday since this was New Year's Eve) Mostly Italian so it felt like a local spot!
Excellent wine, unbelievably friendly and welcoming staff - as another reviewer mentioned, they really do make you feel like family. Carlo is delightfully ebullient, and very knowledgeable about his wine. Can't recommend this place enough.
We called in here a couple of times for drinks and Italian style tapas, we can not comment on full meals but the tapas to accomodate the wine were superb. The wines were all of the highest quality with a good price range and an impressive selection.
Emanuele has exposed me to some of the best wines from Valpolicella. I'm from the Lodi area and have experienced wines from Napa. Believe me there good! But I have experienced something different here and I'm very greatful.
Quite little place, hidden from the crowd of the tourists... Emanuele the owner is a great guy, very helpful with the wine choosing...Many great wines from all over Italy. Recommended!
