We ate there with another American couple on a Friday night (with reservations). All the food was great -- antipasti, ravioli, bistecca, lots of fresh asparagus. We're not foodies, but this was the kind of food that would make us foodies. Friendly, helpful waitstaff, including dealing with our lack of more than basic Italian. Wine selection was OK, not great.
