I am a lover of Tuscan and a Florentine friend recommended me this restaurant. I started with crostini, very good, a pinch of salt and were less perfect, then the ribollita, great, and finally the peposo beef stew, which could explain the manager, is cooked for 4 hours in Chianti and handfuls grains of black pepper, with absolutely no tomato.... Based near the Santa Croce church this smallish Tuscan trattoria has a rustic atmosphere with basic wooden tables and chairs. The service was adequate but the staff did not greet us with the sort of welcome that we enjoyed at other restaurants. However the food and wine we had for dinner was well cooked, and good value for money. There... More

Dear customer, dear friend, thanks for your review and thanks for your opinion, I'm glad you chose to come to us and I am sorry that you have not been greeted with sympathy, but you know that just the day before the waiter had been left by his girlfriend, sorry. But I hope you to come back to us in... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant because it was next door to Vivoli Gelato, which our tour guide claimed was the first gelato shop in Florence. They seated us right in the doorway, and the cold, rain-soaked air blew over our table every time someone entered or exited the restaurant. Overall, the service was curt and rude, and the food was... Dear friends and customers, and very kind, thank you for being with us even though I'm sorry that after all we've been a fallback to Vivoli's gelato, which is right next to us and is one of the best in the world ( we are not so famous). We are very dismayed by the fact that you enjoyed our food,... More

This very nice place in the historic center of Florence. We eat here after book a table for two persons. The staff was very friendly and the place like a old host aria. We eat here a authentic Tuscan food, excellent the appetizer with salami, ham and Tuscan crostni. Wonderful the fiorentina steak, tender and cook like florentine people say... More

This centrally located trattoria (near the Santa Croce church) serves simple regional food at a terrific price. We happened on this place fifteen years ago and it still serves some of the best food in town. Trestle tables and an open kitchen that the customer can see into make this place a real find. Prices are inexpensive pasta meal for... More

A so-so eatery. Arrive on an empty stomach, or better still, bring a spare. This place serves-up some truly Goliath portions. This all sounds good, but it’s a quantity over quality kind of place. The sausages are edible if not a little gross to look at; the bucket load of beans did little to enhance the overall taste. More
