Real italian cuisine from the heart and soul. Antipasti, shrimps with green apple and balsamic vinager, spaghetti black are fantastic, also the staff. Thanks Giulio, Tibor and family from Hungary More

fantastic little place- a refreshing break from the streets of bad, overpriced restaurants. creative small 'artworks' behind the bar, young hip atmosphere blended with the traditional venetian charm. food is exciting with unusual combinations of flavours and artistically presented. and the portions are quite large! i would definately recommend the prawns with apple and balsamic- heaven at a fantastic price!... While in Italy we tried to go to restaurants that we off the beaten path and away from the touristy areas. We picked this restaurant because it was kind of close to where we were and was well rated on TripAdvisor, but still small and out of the way enough. We went on the early side and the place was... In taverna ciardi the owners made us feel welcome and at home. We went there to try the chiccetti and we had a plate with a bit of almost everything, it was sooo good, tasty and different from what had in other places! There is also a list of spritz made by Giulio that suits any preference. More

Found this place by accident. Spent 7 days in Venice during the Carnival and this was the only restaurant where we got value for money. Every other restaurant was overpriced with 4 pages of menus. This one has only one page for a menu, the chef only cooks genuine fresh Venetian food and the prices are very reasonable. Spoke to... More

we discovered taverna Ciardi totally by accident - and we were very nicely surprised! On our first evening we stopped by just to drink something, but the place was so charming, that we decided to come back the other evening and enjoy the traditional venician food. Giulio was a great host and entertainer, the food (spaghetti + clams) was excellent!... More

Nice atmosphere, good food, a little farer from the beaten tracks in Venice. Let Giulio suggest you what to eat and drink. Highly Recommended! More

This taverna is seriously chilled out. It's in a narrow street off the beaten track with good jazz/blues music playing quietly. We were able to choose wine by the glass quite cheaply and had a good dinner at a reasonable price. More

This was our last dinner in Venice and it was a place proposed by the hotel reception as it was also within a walk distance from there. It's a calm and cosy place where you can enjoy traditional dishes. We were impressed by the friendliness of personnel that were not just there to serve you as a typical unknown client... More

This is a very small place with a bar and dining room. The bar was crowded and the atmosphere was great we wanted to eat and got a table for two. The food was tasty and the portions were large. We shared the starter of sea bass and polenta a kind of "underbacked" bread which was tasty. We then had... More
