I'm a vegetarian, so was really a good choice. The menu changes, but usually includes delicious dishes like linguinne with nuts and pumpkin flans. Try dessert as these are very special. (My favorite is chocolate mousse with tipical venetian biscuits). Ask the staff to translate, menu is only in italian. Service was great, the owner is really funny and kind.

Recommended by our B&B. Delicious and well priced (pasta €10, meat/poultry €20). The menu is in Italian but we could make out a few words in each section to give us an idea. The waitress filled us in on the rest. My husband had an amazing duck confit. I ordered the asparagus and pasta by watching what was being served... More

What everyone says is true - you need to make a booking, and we only had one time available during our stay. So we went for a Saturday lunch and had an amazing pumpkin soup (zuppa la zucca) each. However, the menus are in Italian and you need to be well-versed on your foods... or you may end up disappointed... More

My husband and I ate here based on all the positive reviews on TA. I'm not a huge seafood fan, and when I saw they focused more on vegetarian items I was excited to get a break from eating steak. They do have meat on the menu though if you are craving it. The menu is all in Italian (thank... More

Had this from a recommendation, and was not disappointed. Suddenly realised that it was mostly veggie options, however there were meat options too such as carpaccio. The fact it was veggie was really unusual and made for a refreshing change from seafood. We all had three courses, each made up from a variety of two 6 euro sides and an... More

We had a great meal for three people here. The food was not the standard dishes you find most places, good combinations of ingredients. I enjoyed the warm goats cheese salad, my wife the carrot and ginger soup, followed by the artichoke lasagne. Staff very friendly. Would go back again.

We visited La Zucca on the 4th May for a birthday celebration. We can honestly say that it was one of the best meals we have had. We both had the Avocado to start which came with a mustard dressing - the main course was grilled, marinated slices of pork loin which was superb, all the vegetables were fresh and... More

Dined here last night our first night in Venice, recommend by our B&B and we were not disappointed. Great variety to choose from, menu was in Italian but the waiters were helpful with English translations. We started with flan de zucca (pumpkin flan) which we shared followed by Osso Buco and Arrosto di Maiale (roast pork) with a side dish... More

I had the pumpkin flan to start with - delicious. Girlfriend had humous starter, which was heavy on the humous and light on accompaniments. For main I had beef skewers with rice and avocado. The meat was cooked perfectly and the rice and avocado were great complements to it. G/f had rabbit main, which was lovely albeit a little heavy... More

La Zucca used to be the best bid for at restaurant in Venice. It is not the case anymore. I have been the many times and it has always been superb! Last time it visited the restaurant (end of April 2013) the food quality was pretty much average and so was the service. It is not bad, but it is... More
