Great food , good ambience, a popular place to dine even on a very wet October night Worth a visit, pizza good also try other dishes they re equally good
We ate twice at Da Franco's, great personnel and service. Great pizza's but be sure to try the other dishes as well, they're all great. My all time favorite was the 'local dish': ravioli with butter sauce bergamo style.
The Bergamo style ravioli with bacon and sage is a must. The Osso Buco and Rosti were great. Wine, service and to eat on the terrace in a quiet square with the church bells ringing made the evening perfect. Winter you will have to eat inside and the front rooms are the nicest.
We ate here twice during our stay in Bergamo and that tells all about what we think about the food and the service. All excellent and highly recommended. Great food, wine and not to expensive.
After the funicular (adult return fare: Euros 3.50) has whisked you up from the Citta Bassa to thy Citta Alta, affording fabulous views with the promise of yet more, and you've wandered up the cobblestoned streets, admired the stunning Baroque splendour of the Duomo (but be sure to get there before they close for lunch at 1230: yes, it IS... Everything about this restaurant is great: food, which is absolutely delicious; cozy atmosphere; and a friendly and courteous service. We will miss this place!
Atmospheric, traditional Italian restaurant with friendly, attentive waiters. Wide-ranging, reasonably-priced menu and perfectly drinkable wine -again, not overly-priced. €9 for a litre carafe of white sparkling represents good value compared to Milan, UK prices! Great service and hearty portions, all delivered in an unhurried manner. Would recommend the veal chop Milanese style -delicious.
One of the many typical restaurants that you will find on the Bergamo hill. As we only visited this one, it is difficult to compare them, but at least for its looks this is one of the more attractive ones. Particularly when you can sit outside on the terrace. The food was good, but not exceptional. The service was very... More
This ristorante is located in the old part of Bergamo. We visited for lunch. We had basic fare, but it was of a good quality. Service was swift and efficient. The wine was a reasonable price, one thing that does annoy me about some places. Definitely worth a pit stop here.
Esacped the rainy weather in the Old Town to this restaurant which looked to be good and busy with the locals. Most of them were eating pizza, and we did discover later on why that might have been the reason. However, found Risotto Milanese and fresh asparagus on the menu. Risotto was good, but asparagus served with fried eggs and... More
