I second the good words written here, this is a simple warm place offering delicious dishes, the pastas are amazing, maybe the best in Bologna. As a local i feel very privilieged for having the opportunity to be in its vicinity

We took a bit of a taxi ride out of the normal offerings to get to this place and it was worth the trip.
The staff translated the whole menu for us and recommended the best dishes to try. We left this restaurant happy and it made our first night in Bologna one to remember. The price was reasonable and...

We were in Bologna for a 40th bday party and chose the osteria, the service was FANTASTIC although I speak fluent Italian the lady who served us went through the entire menu and translated it for all the guests, made suggestions on food and couldnt be attentive enough, her male collegue advised us on wines and then provided a birthday...

Me & my husband ate here on Sunday 4/14. We had a reservation, which you def. need. The menu is in Italian, but 2 servers explained it & answered all our questions. We started with the homemade meats, then on to pasta (bolognese) and then we shared the meatballs. All were excellent. Don't recall the name of our dessert but...

We arrived around 8pm and had a terrific time thanks to the host and his team! The dishes we had were to die for. The service was excellent, the food was prepared to perfection and the atmosphere is very relaxed. We would absolutely recommend coming here!!
We arrived around 8 PM and staggered out well after midnight. Best tortellini in brodo I ever had combined with excellent service, extensive wine list and knowledgeable, energetic people who demonstrate a passion for what they're doing. Take a taxi there so you can enjoy it to the fullest!
It's a cozy place not in the city centre, but well connected with bus n.13.
The menu presents not common dishes and you can choose also from the daily dishes that are all fresh and tasty.
It's the right place where to eat slowly and enjoy food and company.
The wine selection is wide and accurate.
My only suggestion: as...

We really enjoyed our stay there. It was quite far from our hotel, even from the city center, sheepishly we thought we'd walk, but ended up calling a taxi, hovewer, as soon as we arrived, we felt very, very welcome and we got very nice, personalised attention. At first, the restaurant was rather empty, but it filled up pretty soon...

The osteria is easily reachable by bus - we took the number 13 bus and got off at the stop Chiesa Nuova. It's a 2 minute walk from there and easy to see from the main road. They offered to call a cab and be aware that after 2200 the bus service is thin. I think you need to book...

Best meal I had in Italy!.. First of all, this little family owned restaurant, Osteria Satyricon, is a delight to sit in. The décor is so perfectly orchestrated, tables made out of corks, old bottles of wine made as candle holders, and cool posters hanging everywhere –and the bathroom is almost nicer than the entire place! We sat down and...
