Great, little place. Recommended for anyone who likes ice cream with real flavor. Didn't talk much to the staff, but they were nice.

I recently brought a group of 15 Irish teenagers to Rome, and this place was suggested after a long hot afternoon of site-seeing-- The owner was very friendly and patient with the kids, asked what they liked and made suggestions and threw in extra toppings, etc... The flavours were lovely, and the gelato was delicious. I paid for the group,...

Amazing service, he made the kids laugh and made them feel comfortable enough to order themselves (in Italian!). The ice cream was the star of the visit, it tasted rich, fresh and delicious. You could taste the passion and hard work. Definitely would visit again.
We went to this Gelateria after lunch along the same road and after reading the good reviews from trip advisor. We ordered 6 cups of 2 flavours each. We had good expectation due to the reviews by trip advisor but we were quite disappointed. The gelato were normal and not as good as rated. The old lady was friendly and...

We stopped here after seeing the Colloseum and the ruins, so we were exhausted and hot and just wanted something cool & good to eat. We happened upon La Dolce Vita, and we were glad we did! SUCH good gelato! My husband and I both got 3 scoops, all of which were different kinds. My favorite was the mint chocolate...

Because the first place we looked at was so expensive, my husband and I went in here. I decided to try my Italian - 'senza latteo' and, after a little English clarification, the man behind the counter said yes! He had a 'soya' chocolate and vanilla and a few (lactose free) sorbets. Such a treat for this lactose-intolerant traveller.
My wife and I visited this Gelateria daily on our travels. The woman behind the counter was very nice and gave us a big smile every day when we arrived. The Gelato was exceptional and a good variety of flavors could be found here. There's even a few seats inside for a rainy day.
I was around the area at colosseum and decided to hunt down this gelato place based on TA's recommendation. Its very good. Personal recommendation would be a nutella/caffe cone. the slight bitterness from the caffe mixes well with sweetness of the nutella. melon gelato is nice too!
decided one night to skid desert at Messenzios` and try a gelato at La Dolce Vitas, very good, flavors were numerous and outstanding
Based on the reviews we had ice here today. Three scoops voor 3 euro, and many excellent flavors. Worthwile trying when on the colosseum area...
