Michelin starred restaurant lover, you will not be disappointed. Wonderfully classy service and innovative, yet traditional cuisine. We got tricked a bit by Mr Pipero on the wine, but the whole degustation menu was fair (100euros per person 12 dishes excl wine - we left the choice of wine open, came to 60 euro, on wine menu can select a... My husband and I had an outstanding meal at Pipero on Easter Sunday. Without a shadow of a doubt it was the most impressive dining experience either of us has ever had, topping highly rated restaurants in London, New York, Paris and the French Riviera. The young chef is incredibly talented; he is imaginative in his cooking, combining interesting flavours,... More

Great little restaurant. Definitely a noteworthy culinary experience. Not really the place to go if you want traditional Italian fare, but certainly an excellent choice if you are in the market for some high-end, creative cooking, and you like an intimate setting. The chef is a rising star (make sure you try his carbonara), and the charming Mr. Pipero runs... More

We had the pleasure of dining here a few weeks ago. A small, but lovely restaurant in the rather plain Rex hotel. We were greeted warmly by the host/owner, Alessandro, and seated at one of only 8 tables. Following the advice of Katie Parla's food app, we declined the menu to allow the chef and Alessandro to choose a series... More

The decor is beautiful, food wonderful, service is top-notch, and best of all, the prices are reasonable.

We ate here on Valentines Day. The owner, Alessandro Pipero, is very friendly and helpful. We had the tasting menu, and I would not do that again. I wasn't crazy about most of the dishes and even gave the duck tartare to my husband to finish. They were very accommodating to my gluten free needs and even had bread. I... More

A good .... maybe great restaurant. There is no doubt that the chef and the owner know their business. The food is good but at times overambitious loosing some of the cleanliness of flavor that is an Italian hallmark. The service is good and attentive but still a little young and will need "training" for the next star. It is... More

There's not much more to add that hasn't been written already about Pipero al Rex. Located in the Rex Hotel, this tiny place is a quiet little restaurant where some if the most innovative cooking in all of Italy is taking place. It's really interesting and ultra-modern - sous vide cooking, foams, molecular gastronomy. Recommend the chefs tasting menu to... More

Normally a tasting menu last some 2-2,5 hours in order to really be able to digest and enjoy the experience. In this case, the last and tenth course was served within 1,5 hour, leaving almost no time in-between the courses! I don’t know why they had this tempo and maybe they felt this kind of efficiency was enhancing the experience.... More
