Good food but a bit pricey probable due to its location, the risotto was creamy with good amount of seafood, the curry shrimp though claimed prepared from frozen prawn did taste fresh, worth a try if you want something close to St Peter Square.

Fellow travelers we met in Tuscany told us this was a "must go to" spot. They in turn had been sent by friends who had been there. They were absolutely correct...we let Stepphano choose our meal and it was the best we had in Rome. The staff was professional, friendly and the food was amazing. The price was reasonable and...

My hubby and I were so impressed with the experience we had at Caffe Universale, that we went there a second time on our last night in Rome, as we wanted a guaranteed good last dinner experience.

Fancied a change to the routine Italian menu offered by the majority of restaurants and fell across this one. Nice modern clean design inside, friendly and helpful staff with lovely food. Service is excellent. You can either select from the main menu or go for one of their four course meals. This place is well worth a visit
I booked dinner for two Saturday March 16 2013, advising in advance tgat my partner was unable to eat gluten.
We took a short taxi ride from our hotel to get to the well presented restaurant. My partner was very pleased tgat the server knew unprompted of her gluten free diet. Gluten free bread for her and regualr bread for...

I have celiac and therefore I try to...

I'm not usually lucky enough to have a top-rated restaurant be so close to where I was staying in Rome, but this time, I hit the jackpot. My husband and I had a late dinner, so we were able to be seated immediately. Our wait staff was so nice and so helpful. We had the eggplant parmesan (not breaded!), the...
