This is one of those wonderful family-run spots that offers terrific food at a reasonable price. It's a little out of the way and unpretentious, but well worth it. We were in Italy for nearly 3 weeks, and we ate here at the start of our stay. The wonderful pasta dishes set a very high standard for the rest of... More

I had a very good meal here on a recent trip to Rome. It's one of those restaurants that the locals go too and that's always a good sign. They offer a good selection of Italian dishes, in particular some very good typical Roman dishes, for a reasonable price.

Excellent restaurant with good food and ambience. Bruschettas and pastas are excellent. Everything was tasty, served quickly and cautiously. The restaurant work only during lunch and dinner time, and it is not open allday. Also it does not operate on Sundays.

Ristochicco is located minutes from the greatest Vatican attractions. It's hidden on a little street paralel to Via della Conciliazone and Borgo Sant Angelo. The red and white checkered tablecloths and black wooden chairs outside looked homey and inviting, so we decided to give it a try. We certainly didn't regret it. As it was lunchtime, we soon found out,... More

Hey, for what it is it's a good place. This is not gourmet, it's just a good pasta place. The portions are filling, so if you're thinking of doing multiple courses, I'd recommend sharing at least the primi plate; the pastas are definitely more than enough for two before the main course. Service is good. Nice people run the place... More

We stayed for 8 days in Rome, and ate at restaurants recommended in various guides. This was the one restaurant we visited twice. The Carbonara was very tasty, and the other dishes of good quality. The house wine was of good quality. We could order a bottle, 1/2 litre, or single glasses. We also appriciated that the waiters did not... More

I was absolutely shocked at the rudeness and unprofessional attitudes of the staff at Ristochicco. I ate with a large family group, and three of us ordered pizza, which was extremely undercooked. It was basically pure dough in the center, so we sent them back to the kitchen twice, and it was STILL not cooked. We had a train to... More

Found our way by accident after leaving the Vatican and aimlessly walking down the alley way and charming streets. Sat outside where my daughter had a pizza and I ordered the special which turned out to be this amazing pasta dish of fresh calamari and cheese sauce . Outragously good and very reasonable. Would have gone back if my travel... More

Great traditional Italian food, excellent location (near Vatican city) and inexpensive! I spent 6 days in Rome with an Italian friend (lives near Rome) and my partner. My Italian friend recommended this restaurant and it was superb! Chef Roberto cooks traditional Italian food and is very amiable. Highly recommend the carbonara. It is properly made e.g. with just eggs and... More

It was so reliably good, we ate there twice during our 4 days in Rome. Service was very fast, but not pushy at all. Roberta runs the dining room, while her husband, Roberto, turns out plate after plate of delicious Roman food from the kitchen. We enjoyed both the pasta dishes and the fresh seafood. Only a few tables mostly... More
