Stayed at villa tasoni and went to this restaurant a few times. Likes the pizza, grilled meats, and grilled vegetables. Enjoyed seeing local families out for meals and the service was friendly.

We stayed at the Rome Cavalieri Hilton/Waldorf Astoria. This ristorante was a nice 15 minute walk through the neighborhood (down the hill...but we failed to remember that there was a back up the hill). We enjoyed the atmosphere and food so much that we ate there 4 times in the week we were there. The cacio e pepe, pasta carbonara...

we arrived at the restaurant at 8 oclock and my family was greeted by a really over enthusiastic waitress - great...
the restaurant was empty except for my family & one other family which leads me to question WHY we had to wait 30 - 45 minutes for our food
we ordered a pizza, 2 burgers & a pasta dish...

This is a good quality Italian restaurant which we visited twice while staying at the Waldorf Astoria (cheap deal, couldn't afford to eat there!). Good honest Italian food and reasonably priced wine in a friendly atmosphere. Almost all the diners seemed to be local, always a good sign. Recommended.
Another reliable restaurant in the 10-15 minute walk zone from the Roma Cavlieri. Don't expect haute cuisine but the food is good. This is a local pizzeria with good pizzas (loved the radiccio and gorgonzola) and pastas. My meat-eating friends said that the meat was Ok too. Interesting range of fried-stuff as starters. People very friendly with enough English to...

Second visit tonight. Outstanding service and welcome to non-italian speakers armed with phrase book! Full to bursting with local people. Really buzzing but relaxed atmoshere. Basic decor but brilliant food. Pizzas yesterday unbeliveable. Very very good value and as I am allergic to cheese, fantastic flavours. Steak and pasta tonight, (i lost, fillet steak at 17 euros stunning). Waiter had...

The pizza was very nice.... We tried to eat pizzas in a lot of different Pizzeria in Rome, but this is the best one!!! Without any doubt!!!! The prices are also very good, and the service was perfect!!!
Good traditional cuisine and a vegetarian/vegan menu too. It was packed out every time we visited and it would be worth booking in advance if you're not in the area. Proper pizza from an old fashioned oven with lots of choice of toppings, good affordable wine, friendly service.
Ordered a pizza to go from Il Peperoncino Dispettoso during our stay at the Rome Cavalieri hotel. It's about 3/4 mile from the hotel and it wasn't cheap, but the pizza was worth the walk. Pizza was baked in their wood-burning oven (I believe), and it was quite delicious. Servers spoke English but were able to understand my attempt to...

Headed here after realizing that a Cesar's salad at Rome cavalieri cost €30. What a great little place. It's about a 10 minute walk that feels like you will never find it, but just keep going. Huge choices of both white and red pizza. Menu is entirely in Italian but most of the ingredients were familiar. Inexpensive and yummy. My...
