If you are in Rome and want great gelato, this is your place. Tucked into a little corner on a street near the Piazza Navona. Awesome! This is fresh and perfect. Ask to see the labortorio and you will see the fresh ingredients and them making the gelato. Their pistachio was the best, hands down, that we had during our... More

Was that a dream we just had, three scoops piled on an artisanal waffle cone, in a shady courtyard with flowers lining weathered stone steps? We were going to take note of the flavors, but in our trancelike state all we could do was stand and lick. From the photos we took, it looked like we had a seasonal special... More

You might have to hunt a bit for this one, but it's worth it. Simply the best Gelato I have ever had. Period. While you are eating your first cup, you can watch the operation of making more right in front you you. I was taken there by a native. A great rest after a long morning of touring. This... More

Like many other posters, I did a lot of "research" on the gelato question. If you're interested in quantity, go to Old Bridge near the Vatican. But if you want interesting flavors and textures, go to Gelateria del Teatro.

This place, although down a small alley, is not that hard to find. It's at the top and then to the left of the Piazza Navona. All you have to do is walk down the Via de Coronari towards the Tiber and the Vittorio Emmanuele II bridge. You'll pass the restaurant Sangallo on your right and it will then be... More

Gelateria del Teatro is a hidden gem - it's set in a small little street and offers delicious flavor combinations of gelato that you won't find elsewhere. I tried the raspberry and sage, lemon cheesecake, and almond and fig flavors, all of which were incredibly tasty. Although the portions are quite small for the price you pay, it was worth... More

We stumbled across this place by accident but really enjoyed our gelato from here! The range of flavours are very different to your usual selection but they do have the classics for you less adventurus.

We first found it by accident, but it is nearby Piazza Navona. There are more interesting flavors than a lot of places and it has a real family-run, home-made quality. I tried the Rosemary, honey, and lemon today and it was amazing. There are a couple of herby flavors that I would recommend for an unique experience. If you are... More

We got lost and found this gelateria. The most unique flavors, best texture and taste! I had white chocolate basil and sage with raspberry. My husband had Sicilian orange and pistachio. By far the best we've had and we've had a LOT of gelato. Tucked in an alley and hard to find but well worth it!
