We visited this pizzeria on recommendations off trip advisor.we found it fairly easily the staff were friendly.we ate early and there seemed to be a lot of staff.the pizza was very tasty.
One of the most delicious pizza in Naples. Great. Quick waiters, right prices. Pizza Stock is my favourite one.,
Pizza at its base is a very simple food. Why has Starita displaced Pellone, another wonderful pizzeria in a city full of them, as my favorite? It helped that Starita is famous for its role in classic Neapolitan film; that the 400cl beers come in elegant, unique Starita glasses that I wanted to steal (but didn't); that my amica Napoletana... Napoli supposedly has the best pizza in the world and we were advised that this is the best pizzaria in Napoli so that makes it the world's best pizza, right? We have to admit that we've never had better. The pistachio pizza was exquisite, but so was the more traditional Margherita. Friendly service too. And very good value.
Our favorite pizza in Italy hands down. Also inexpensive and not very touristy. Recommended by our b&b as a "special" pizza, as opposed to something like Sorbillo which was only "very good". Couldn't agree more.
We (4 American business travelers, incl. a NYC Italian) ate here 2x in Sept 2013 & enjoyed it. It's tucked away from the main street (Via San Terese degli Scalzi) - leave the car / cab on the main street & walk up via Materdei to the pizzeria. Put it this way, when we told the hotel staff (Culture Hotel... More
Starita is one of the most famous pizzerias in Naples-and for a good reason. My pizza, with provola cheese, eggplants and cherry tomatoes was heavenly. Unlike some other Naples pizzerias (like Gino Sorbillo) they make pizzas with thicker crusts. They're also reasonably priced-two pizzas and two cokes cost about 20 €. Starita lies outside of the city centre, but can... More
This was a long cab ride from our hotel, but it was well worth it. Pizza was delicious and it was inexpensive. I think 3 of us ate with appetizer and a litre of house wine for 30 euro. Local place not a tourist destination.
I was in Pizzeria Starita in 2011 and few day ago was my second visit. I absolutely agree with the comment below, this is not a classical pizzeria anymore, it offers too many pizzas with some scary ingridients combination. I ate DOP Pizzai with buffalo mozzarela and san marzano pomodore it was too oily and too heavy. I would rather... More
Napoli has quite a few great Pizzerie and arguing which one is better is really a matter of taste. Starita is among the best but for my money it doesn't win the crown of queen of pizzas for a couple of reasons: one is the pizza, the other a more idealistic one. Before I explain why, a little note on... More
