Tried to dine here. Could not get an answer shwn called for reservation so went to address on foot. It is no longer here. A Spanish restaurant has taken its place and opened last week. June 2013. Perhaps it has moved?

This is the kind of restaurant one feels like at home. Good food and also good service. One of the best deserve we ate during this trip so far ... It was a Petit Gateau .... called by another name. Though I decided for anothe wine still they made a good recomendation . Recomend it for anyone.
We visited the restaurant last November thanks to the reviews on Tripadvisor. The food was delicious and good value, and the staff were very attentive and helpful. Outstanding value & experience, especially when compared to other top rated/recommended Madrid restaurants. Thanks for a great experience!
We had booked a table for 2, the restaurant is very cosy and well decorated.
Waiters and Manager were very friendly.
Food: Oysters, very good and it's not easy to find such oysters in Spain.
Then we had a poultry filled with foie gras and with a risotto of mushrooms, WoW that was delicious.
Cheese was ok, not great, and...

We booked based on TA rating but this was not needed as it was a match day and there was only one other couple. So we had excellent friendly service! Very good food and well cooked. My wife and I both had fish (cod and hake) and both were well presented in a delicious sauce. French cuisine. Recommended.
Discovered Casanis while strolling in the nice little streets of the "Las letras" barrio (a must do) and browsing Tripadvisor for a place to dine. Coincidence, Casanis was only 300 meters away and rated #10 restaurant in Madrid...!!!
Great, let's go for it, hoping we can get in on a Easter saturday night without reservation... And, thanks to the very...

I stopped by after reading the tripadvisor review, for a light dinner. The ravioli was exquisite, everything is home made and made to order, and to top it all , an excellent glass of wine for 3 Euros! Prices are very reasonable and the food is great.
We went on saturday night and we booked online an hour before. The booking worked well. The place was quiet and not very busy. The restaurant is in a great location in central madrid. The restaurant is nice and the service very good. We went mostly for the recommendations of the day and they were all good. Onions soup, ravioli...

The food was excellent and the service good.We ate here for dinner on a Saturday night it was full so i would recommend you book and then lunch on a monday.both times the food was tasty and enjoyable.its worth the price.
My wife and I ate there twice during our stay and from the fresh bread and pate you get before your starters to the bill we found nothing we could fault. We would always like to pay less(70-75 euro each night) but with the quality of food and service it is worth it.
