It's a nice experience to have lunch in the world's oldest restaurant. The place is nice, the food is honest (try the cuchinillo), but a little expensive. The staff is very polite, need reservation, because it's always crowded.

This restaurant is my favorite place to dine at in the world and I have travelled alot. The atmosphere is lovely and the food speaks for itself and the price is also rather reasonable. I would recommend the Botin salad and the filet mignon followed by the cream caramel.

This restaurant has been in business since 1725. It carries a lot of Madrid history. It is located just off Plaza Mayor. The specialties are the "suckling pig and roasted lamb" they are roast in the same original stone oven from 1725. A must if you visit Madrid.
