Tasty Spanish food that was good value, with good prompt service. Probably the most efficient waiter considering the number of customers. Noisy and full of atmosphere. Paella was better than the average establishment and was worthy of the recommendations. Not a place for a relaxing meal. Would have got 5 stars but i prefer to relax when i eat. BUT... More

Great atmosphere, excellent service, good food. Recommend the peppers stuffed with cod. Can't beat the value either.

Food and drink are pretty good here and are inexpensive compare with other. It is quite popular place and get full into the night. the service is quick and friendly. We went for a dinner. Had meatballs (possibly the best ever) and a chicken. Along with a glass if wine and water cost 16 euro. Can't beat that:) also got w wee plate of very good ham and bread on the house. Highly recomended!

Just steps away from Puerta del Sol, La Soberia was not difficult to find. Hubby and I arrived at the restaurant at 7 like typical North Americans and the restaurant was still pretty empty, with the exception of a few locals hanging out at the bar nibbling on tapas and drinking. We ordered paella and albondigas (meatballs) for dinner. The... More

Always greeted with a smile its like a down home "moms" restaurant/bar. Order a drink first and she will overflow a plate with what they call tapas (what we would call a whole plate of food). When we first went there, we ordered a beer and a glass of wine and she gave us a whole plate of paella! It... More

Found this place thanks to other TA reviewers. Although the menu was very short, the food was yummy, authentic and great value. For 2 people, we had 3 dishes and some soft drinks for 25 EUR, and were so full! We felt that we were really amongst locals. All in all, it was so much better than all the other... More

Other reviews are right. This place has good food and drink for reasonable prices. Ordered 3 plates for 2 & that was too much. should have ordered 2 plates for 2. We had solmorejo cordobe - a thick tomato soup you dip dry bread pieces into. And seafood salad which is almost all seafood & just a tiny bit of... More

... even though we have never been here before. We found La Soberbia via tripadvisor during our trip to Madrid in spring 2013, and if we had not read any reviews before we never would have gone there. It is so close to a large, crowded place that I would have taken any bet it is a tourist trap. Nothing... More

As others have said, La Soberbia is a wonderful find near Plaza del Sol. Dining alone on a Thursday night, I was given the full treatment. Dinner started with a delicious, generous, and free seafood salad in oil dressing: shrimp, clams, octopus, crab, and more, I ordered the mixed paella as a main course. The huge prawns and chicken breast... More
