We had read some great reviews and dropped into Picnic. It was sunny and May Day, and Picnic was vey busy. It didn't take long to get a table, and we ordered a mix of delicious, unusual dishes. Very tasty, good value, nice location and excellent service. Definitely worth a visit. .

This place is always packed and there's a simple explanation - the food is great (especially the eggs benedict and fried green tomatoes) and the Bloody Marys are fabulous. Without question the best spot for brunch in Barcelona (which is why you may want to book as it can be quite tricky to get a table - especially at weekends).

There isn't a single local authentic dish on the menu of Picnic, but that's okay, because people go there for brunch and their expat/tourist/foreigner menu.
