The restaurant is located on the street 31st of August in the old town. The whole family works at the bar. They have a great variety of tapas and you can try the menu of the day from monday to friday.

Very relaxed joint with the obligatory tissues chucked on the floor and large impressive hams hanging from the roof. Exactly what you want from a tapas place, noise, ham, beer and character. For more tips on San Sebastian you can read my own blog by following the link below. I've also put a link to another blog which we found... More

There is a word in Spanish that perfectly characterizes this place, this place is "cutre", or "naff" in British English. The waiters are inept, the food takes forever to get to your table, the manager is full of excuses, once you get the food it is pretty average. San Sebastian has some great tapas bar; this one might have been... More

Great location this bar is a great refuge from the busy old town attractions. Great Rioja by the glass and fabulous food.

This is a bar/restaurant that can give you the kind of gastronomical delight you would expect from San Sebastian. The jamon is excellent. The pintxos area great, especially the ones on top of a slice of bread because, unlike other establishments, they bake their own. This makes a big difference.

In San Sebastian main street near the catheral, it is surrounded by Tapas bars. La Cepa is one of the most crowded bars. It was filled with both locals and tourists. It is the one offers the widest choices of Tapas in the area. The staff were very nice and proactively. Jamon were selective choice. We can feel that the... More

Stopped in here with another couple from California and found we were the only non-local patrons - staff was friendly and tried to be helpful. Pretty typical/basic bar furnishings but great tapas/pintxos selection on the counters. Saff didn't speak a lot of English so we couldn't get many descriptions of the tapas especially the seafood selections (one of our group... More

Lost its soul 11 years ago. It has been a great place where I used to spend money with pleasure but now the quality has fallen that i won't repeat the experience. I feel sad because it was an institution.

I love "bocadillos de jamón" (serrano ham sandwiches) and this is the best place to have them. I have been to other places, but this is definitely the best. The price for one of this bocadillos is around 6 euros (2.50 for the tapa, which is like a small bocadillo), but it is worth paying that cos they are just... More
