My wife and I spent 4 days in San Sebastián in 2011 and absolutely loved la cuchara. Two years later, we have returned and we are not disappointed. The food is delicious and all fresh to order. It is creative, hectic, original. I would recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat.

This is the best restaurant that my boyfriend and i tried so far in Europe and we've been to all central europe for the past 2 years. Basque food in its best form in terms of presentation, taste and smell. Unbelievably yum and affordable, this is not a place that you want to miss in San Sebastian. It makes you... More

We were bar hopping in the area for pintxos. We visited some very good tapas bars but this is probably my favourite (By a small margin). Everything we tried is awesome.

This is honestly the best tapas you will ever try. This Bar is featured in my Tapas cookbook as one of the best. Everything is cooked fresh to order and is quick and tastes amazing. The food is just awesome and so we went back each night for more. The Bar is tiny so standing room only. There are a... More

A cut (no, make that several cuts) above your average SB pintxos bar. Veal cheeks, slow roasted pork, scallops, foie gras - serious deliciousness. Tiny spot at the top of the first street to the west of the museum plaza, right on the alley which runs along the south side of the museum, lots of people, but cheerful staff, despite... More

Fresh cooked delicious food, each item we ate was superb. There is conveniently an English menu. Not the best atmosphere for a night but the food is worth taking the time to find this place tuck away.

We loved this pintxo bar. It was a great option for mid-range prices- we felt like we were getting good quality food for a good price. They have a helpful English menu, though make sure if your menu doesn't have prices on it (like ours) that you ask- the pintxo are usually between €3-4. We chose the suckling pig, sea... More

The best pintxos (highest end) in San Sebastián. The quality is unbelievable. Prices a couple Euro more than the rest, but worth it. A couple sous chef from El Bulli. A little hard to find. The back street where the church is on, walk on that and it is on a side street heading toward the mountain. Fantastic.
