Great location in Torremolinos. Right in the middle of shopping and beach area. Food was great--best fried shrimp I've ever had. Also good salads, fried fish, and Calimari. Portions were large especially for the price. Servers were friendly and restaurant area was clean.

Casa Juan has traditionally been THE place for fish in Carihuela (Torremolinos). However it seems they have become complacent, or at least the staff have. We were barely welcomed as all the staff were too busy watching football on the TV. Why does a restaurant have football on the TV anyway? Eventually we got their attention & ordered the house... We had been going to Casa Juan for many years but not in the past two. This time, what a disappointment. This used to be one of the few places in the area where you could guarantee to have a first rate paella. Not any more. They might as well rename Casa Juan 'Loads of Rice' because they certainly fill... More

Arrogant staff, without any education how to behave and how to serve clients Food expensive and served as mass food, without good sauce and detail or herbs. The only reason to go there is the nice square at dawn. I had the Idea they served normal coffee as decaffeinated. That is a sin in the evening. The choice is when... More

On a recent visit to La Carihuela, my sister did her research and all signs pointed to Casa Juan. well seriously i have no idea why, it seems like they own half the town and its all a conspiracy. the worst steak i have ever tried to eat. I asked for rare but the waiter seemed very unhappy with this... More

This is a huge restaurant where you can sit outside and enjoy sun. Very busy in the summers, especially on Sundays when local Spanish families have their daytime dinner. Sundays is totally packed by 2:30p.m. and service stops at around 5p.m. so be on time.. unless you are here for a late night dinner. Recommended paella and most fish dishes..... More

Casa Juan is known for it´s fish, so I wouldn´t order steak, although it isn´t bad. I recommend the Lubina cooked in salt, absolutely delicious. They have an excellent menu of tapas or Raciones, although you certainly pay for the priveledge. Croquetas are delicious, as is the Rosada Ali Oli. In fact the Ali Oli (garlic mayonnaise) is the best... More
