We had an excellent dinner at this floating restaurant on the Elbe River. Hail to the cook! Less compliments for the waitress: although good looking and young enough to hardly remember the communist times, she showed little interest in making her customers at ease.

My mother had booked us tickets to visit the little theatre located on this converted barge and suggested we visit the restaurant on it beforehand. Extremely convenient location for theatre goers and for the Semperoper.

The menu is on a board and is in German, but the waiters speak English and will translate the menu and give excellent service. Sit n a restaurant boat and watch the boats (and occassional swimmers) float by. Hot air balloons, too. This was one of the fun evenings spent in Germany. Not typical food, but can be quite light....
