On a fresh May evening we sat inside. Yes, the food is not stellar, although most of what we got was tasty enough. The staff did their best to translate the all-German menu in English for us and the place is in a very cozy location. A nice experience overall.

Cozy alternative place with unusual food and presentation at reasonable price and of very good quality, friendly if slow service, tucked away in a nice yard/pedestrian area. Well worth a visit.

When walking through Dresden’s nightlife hub Neustadt I found the Lila Sosse hidden in the Kunsthofpassage. Neustadt and the passage are located far off the touristy old town area. Lila Sosse is located in the first floor of an old building and its interior reminds of an old fashioned living room with a beautiful tiled fireplace and a cozy wooden... More

Ate here with a couple of friends for dinner and it was pretty good. No it wasn't the best meal I've ever had but it was very pleasant. A little expensive for what you get but the setting was nice and the staff were really friendly and didn't make you feel like you shouldn't be there being a tourist. My... More

Outside dining here is more like sitting in a tiny street in Italy than sitting in a court yard. It was very atmospheric, watching the ballet training in one of the adjacent houses. This restaurant offers different food from most restaurants in Dresden, everything served in a jar! We did get better food at some other restaurants during our summer... More

We picked this restaurant because at the time it was rated the #1 restaurant in Dresden, but that set us up for quite a disappointment. No complaints about the service: it was fast and friendly. The setting is nice too, if weather permits eating outside (inside is a bit dark). The food however, is nothing special. Standard fare, stingy portions.... More

Four of us had dinner having 3 different entrees, all of which were very good. Soup and desert were also excellent. Chef knows how to do fish and meats and meals included good potatoes as well as vegetables. Service was good and all staff of the restaurant were friendly. Price was very fair for the quality of the meal. The... More

This restaurant may be appreciated by people who have no understanding of well-prepared food or good service. Apparently, a lot of tripadvisor patrons like mediocre food served in a trendy, funky, atmosphere. We have been eating in restaurants in Germany for the past three months so we have plenty of points of comparison. We have had many meals that were... More

It is really funny to come to the Lila Sosse: the place is in the trendy and kind-of unpretentious but liberal Neustadt. You will find the restaurant in the backyard of the "fairy creatures" which is partial the agenda of the place. The typical German dishes are revisited and served in little jars in a tapas style in order to... More

We went to Lila Sosse mainly because it was not traditional German food, as we got too much of it during our short trip. It was a nice surprise: the food is really nice with a good combination of tastes. I just don't understand what "junge deutsche Küche" (young German cuisine) means, as it looks like any other "modern" cuisine.
