The food at Holbeins is excellent, so is the atmosphere - on most nights you will find someone playing live music on the piano ... great place, but pricey!

This seems to be a restaurant where one brings people to impress. The interior is of modern beauty. We went there for a fairly pricey lunch after a visit of the Städel Museum which is housed in the very same building. We ordered a Thai curry dish which was excellent, but also a Sushi dish which was less than stellar.

The design of the place its self makes you happy – you got here!!! The service was excellent, and all dishes were served just on time. The wine was good. But what we really loved was the desert – like an ice cream with vanilla flavor and some pecorino cheese on top. Sounds weird but tastes like heaven!!!

The staff were not especially friendly. This seems to be a chain, rather than a family run place. But the food was fine, and the steak (their speciality) made the trip definitely woithwhile.
