This is the kind of neighborhood Italian bistro that can be hard to find in the US. The menu is limited, but the food is great and the service was good.

Nice restaurant in the central berlin. The pesto spaghetti was tasty and well priced. San lorenzo was similarly good. Was really weird but every person coming in seemed to be young, good looking and female, seems to be a young persons' restaurant. The waitstaff were not really on the ball, and if they'd been more prompt this would be a...

The starter of mixed antipasti was tasty. However, the main course was rather disappointing. It focuses on about six or seven pasta dishes. The truffle pasta was rather disappointing; try and tasteless. The pannacotta was good. Nice selection of wines and beers for a small local restaurant.
As it started raining and hailing we rushed into this restaurant to have a drink at the bar. All the tables were taken and while sipping our beers we could glance into the kitchen and see the chef prepare some delicious pasta's, which smelled great as the waitresses carried them to the tables. We could witness all ingredients to be...

casual with a short menu of good pasta choices. Excellent value with good wine.

Main course - after having to get up to ask the waiter where it was arrived 45 minutes after the starter plates were cleared!
The food...

As we were sat at the bar we got a birds eye view of both the kitchen and bar action. The staff were great...

Maedchenitaliener (or: girls' Italian) seems to have become an institution on Alte Schoenhauser Stasse. I have been a few timies, and it is always packed. There is not so much variety on the menu, but what they do they do well. Try the pasta with ripe figs - heaven. Deserts are so so, but all in all a great place.
My favorite, must visit place when I go to Berlin.
Small and cozy atmosphere, italian cuisine, family style run, not expensive, amazing food, nice service, .great value for money... and you have to try the signature pasta dish with figs and balsamico vinegar! Also very nice the pasta with black truffels, or the starter figs with buffalo mozarella. All my...
