Description: The Theodor Tucher Speisekabinett & Leselounge is in a prime location overlooking the Brandenburg Gate. This is a bright and friendly restaurant which is popular with its international and local clientele. The cuisine is delicious. The menu offers Ruppin shoulder of lamb with aubergine gratin and Tucherbein served with root vegetables and mashed potatoes. For dessert try the lemon cream au gratin served with berry compote. The wine selection is impressive. After your meal settle down and enjoy a good book. Browse the bookshelves up in the gallery. The restaurant is also an ideal place for people watching. You will probably see some well known politicians and celebrities from the world of showbiz. The staff are conscientious and friendly.

On a very busy Sunday we enjoyed a superb lunch at Theo Tucher. Welcome was genuine, beverages superb, food predictable auf Berliner Art and delicious. The snow may have brought in the tourists earlier and the sculpture in the garden provided a scenic background for those same people. Everything about TT is original, the massive wall painting over the kitchen,... More

The place is located right under the Brandenburg Gate - so probably the touristic location is a source of its bad service - which is a shame as the food is actually quiet good. I had a deer consume and a deer meat dish that were delicious - my wife had a steak which she requested medium and received well... More

Theodor Tucher is a stylish established bar and restaurant with good food, good beer and decent wine list. It has a lovely relaxed decadent atmosphere with books on the shelves and easy chairs around. The food is totally and utterly Berlin and the region. It is a great place to while away the time and the location right next to... More

I would NEVER visit this place, nor recommend to my worst enemy. I have travelled extensively but never have i encountered such dreadful service (well lack of any kind of service). Myself and my husband sat outside to enjoy the views and the sunshine - we wanted to order a coffee and a glass of Prosecco. Firstly we were continually... More

I enjoyed my light lunch here with German friends. The service and the food was very good; the view and ambiance were extraordinary. We ate outside, but I took a stroll around the inside. It looks and feels as if the restaurant has been around for ages. It hasn't - as the whole area to the west of Brandenburg Tor... More

I came here a few years back and had a great time so was really looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately, I'd have been better off leaving it as a nice memory. The food seems to have gone downhill - the menu still looks interesting but doesn't live up to the reality (dry and tasteless meat, stodgy potato wedges). I'd... More

I saw the reviews on Tripadvisor, I visited the website and still I could not make sense out of it, so there was only one option left: go and try it myself. Apparently a Sunday evening at the end of July leaves the place almost deserted which gave me the opportunity to enjoy the inside and the outside. Placed at... More

Sit an relax outside and watch the tourists buying everything they dont need, like communist uniforms and flaggs. This was no go zone until 1989 and now it's tourists paradise. See the Brandenburget Tor and remember the wall. Foodd here is good, but you can also simpy have a great German beer ore a lovely coffee. Inside it is cozy... More

Looks like a library...the menu is pretty much an all German affair, and the prices are fairly reasonable considering the location. It's packed on Thu-Sat nights, so reserve ahead.
