May 2nd 2013. My girlfriend and I reserved a place for 2000 and were seated at a nice corner booth inside. Once the initial order was taken we counted 4 other tables, that where sat after us, receive their food before we were even checked on! The food was good but the service was utterly horrible. I understand that we... More

We passed this restaurant while on our tour bus and noticed that most of the clients appeared to be locals. We always take this as a sign that the restaurant is good and not just another tourist rip off. We were not disappointed! Our fish soup with rouille, croutons and cheese was absolutely delicious and so full of flavour. Our... More

We booked and arrived early, within an hour it was completely full. There was a good plat du jour board as well as a la carte. Everything we ate was fresh, tasty and cooked with skill and style. I had tuna tartare and risotto both delicious , everyone else was just as pleased. Service was a little slow but it... More

After spending the day in Marseilles we made reservations at Au Bout Du Quai. When we arrived at 7:45pm we were the only ones in the place and I wondered why they asked us if we had reservations. By 9:00 the places was completely packed. After introducing the Plat Du Jour, they came to show us the fresh sea urchins... More

This busy lunch place was full of atmosphere, yet service was friendly and effiicient. The food was fresh and inventive and full of simple but strong flavours. We will definitely be eating here again when we next visit Marseille.

After touring the Panier area (contrary to what we read and heard, it was safe, clean and we loved the Museum) we followed the good reviews and lunched at Au Bout du Quai. We arrived a little after 2PM and there was some confusion whether we could still eat or not, but in end we were seated. They are open... More

At least In marseille, on the Vieux Port, facing Fort St Jean, this is a nice place, not looking like a tourist trap. We went there with 2 colleagues for a quick lunch and we were very happy with everything, the decoration, the service, the food and the bill! Two of us wanted to have oysters: there were big and... My husband and I spent a fabulous dinner/evening at Au Bout Du Quai. We read tripadvisor reviews and steered clear of the tourist restaurants. Seafood was the best ever, waiters were very attentive, friendly and loved a couple of polite English speaking Americans. Not like in Paris!!! Our only disappointment was we needed to give them 48 hour notice for... More

This is an amazing restaurant. We were the first to arrive and the restaurant filled quickly. The menu was on a board which was brought to us. We were treated with courtesy, and assisted with understanding the menu. We had fish soup to start, gambas and risotto with scallops for mains, and some kind of sweet. Our meal was wonderful.... We made a reservation here for opening, 8pm, and had our choice of seats, so we sat right at the window facing toward the port. The windows were open toward the area of outside seating, so the climate was fantastic (except when a smoker lets the cig smoke enter inside.) The half-booth table for four was perfectly comfortable with plenty... More
