After a dire Easy Jet flight from London to Nice that got diverted to Marseille, a restaurant near the hotel in Nice was sought. The Hotelier recomended Au moulin enchante located in the Rue Barberis. It was in a quiet part of the old town of Nice. The friendly waiter made us very welcome from the start and from the... More

With a cosy rustic style, my friends and I were made to feel really very welcome here when we visited over the Easter bank holiday. The food was TO DIE FOR and we all had three courses and far too much to drink! The waiters are all very friendly, especially Damian who is front of house, whilst his brother is... More

Lovely little backstreet restaurant, we popped in on the reccomendation of our hotel and it was lovely and ended up being one of the best meals of the trip. Typical french fare, steak tender and well cooked (French Medium = English Rare of course). Nice selection of dishes from a chalk board and a very charming waiter. Felt very welcome.

Met some really interesting people who live in the area while waiting for a table. The atmosphere is very jovial mostly due to the waiters who are very friendly and talkative. I was with a friend and we shared the Salade Folle, which was a bit pricey for a starter, but you did get to try 4 different things, of... More

An average experience in general. The host seemed to be popular among the locals and openly chatted to the guests who seemed to love his sense of humour. We only speak a little French; the host cracked jokes to the locals about this resulting in us feeling belittled before we started the meal (we speak German and Italian and believe... More

Lunch Saturday Feb 11. Return trip for us. Made a reservation, and noted the place completely full by 1300, all locals (like us!), which is always a good sign in France. For entrees we had fois gras, and, charlotte de crab, both superb signature dishes at this restaurant. For mains espadon (swordfish) was superb, as was lotte (monkfish). And a... More

I've seen a comment somewhere on the net about the restaurant. Don't know why, I think just found the name interesting and decided to book us for christmas eve dinner. From the door in, when we'got tha.t marvelous welcoming smile from one of the owners to the farewell waves from the whole staff (only 3 - the chef, his brother... More

We were in the area and decided to call in for lunch on the basis of the Trip Advisor reviews. The three course lunch at 21 Euros was excellent value (mushroom soup, magret of duck and apple pie) and the half bottle of 2005 Chateau Cadillac at 22 Euros even better. Excellent and friendly service.

The environment is beautiful , the service is excellent but this restaurant it’s only worth to be visited because of it’s marvelous cuisine! When we reached the restaurant our table was not available so the informed us that we had to wait a little bit. In the meanwhile they offered us a champagne cocktail. We tried a marvelous duck and... Went here with a group of clients on a limited selection three course menu. I had a goat cheese salat for starter and it was excellent. For main course I had the mixed meat dish with fois gras on mashed potato. Very delicious. The desert was a mix of their desert selection, very good. The wine was ok, opted for... More
