Description: In the centre of Nice, Voyageur Nissart, with its crimson awning and neat row of greenery is hard to miss. And nor should you miss this lovely restaurant where three generations have dined on traditional Nicoise cuisine. With its low wooden ceilings and fresh yellow and sky blue dcor the restaurant is homely and welcoming, an ideal place to meet with friends for a chat over lunch or to spend time with family and food. Receiving rave reviews from the likes of, the Rough Guide, MTV Guide, Le Figaro and Le Monde, Voyageur Nissart is also much spoken about by locals too. This is a restaurant for the diner who wants to experience real Nicoise cuisine, frill free and authentic.

Go for decent food at an inexpensive price. Not a good choice if you are wanting to enjoy very tasty Nicoise food. The portions are average size, but the meal is filling. The quality is fair to good at best. It seems to be a neighborhood favorite because you get an inexpensive decent meal, but not a great location is... More

Me and my partner ate here at the end of May and to be honest I had expected a lot more. I think I was swayed by the great reviews on here and so my expectations were a bit high. Don't get me wrong, the food was nice particulary for the price we paid but i personally didnt find it... More

Excellent selection of local food. Great 3 course deal. Great pastas, stew, lamb and deserts - lemon tart, chocolate and pear cake and so on. Nice sitting inside and out, and only 5 mins from station/beach so handy for most hotels even if not most chic location. 10 times better than the standard tourist stuff on the promenade for a... Good: close to gare de nice ville, budget dinner if price is a factor. Bad: average food, can get much better stuff in this price range, in downtown Paris

Good value menus, even in the evening. You need to book - its good so it gets busy. First night we booked for 20H30 and it was fine. Second night, we just turned up at 20H30 and it was a 45 minute wait, so we had to go elsewhere. Then we got soaked in a downpour and didn't eat until... More

We rate this restaurant very highly and strongly support the praise given to it in an article that appeared in the Telegraph. We ate on a Thursday evening, arriving shortly after 1900 and had no trouble getting a table. The restaurant offered 3 different set menus, as well as a la carte, all listed in French and English. We chose... More

After a day visiting Antibes and Cannes by train, we decided to eat dinner here since it was near the train station. My husband had salmon and avocado starter and roasted chicken, and I had the beef stew and (supposed to be) gnocchi. I ended up with polenta, which was not pretty tasteless. The stew was more fat than beef,... More

This restaurant is reasonably priced and food was very good. Didnt have a starter but had Duck for main and strawberry tart with cream and both delicious. My wife had Sea Bass and pear and choclate tart for dessert which were also very good. The restaurant is up near the Nice Ville train station which is bit out of the... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant 2 years ago with 11 other family members to celebtate my birthday. The food was fantastic as was the service back then. Sometimes when we revisit places we can be disappointed. This has most certainly not been the case as we have just revisited the restaurant twice on our 3 night stay in Nice.... More

I ate at this restaurant over 10 years ago and came back to it in March 2012. The food was excellent 10 years ago and it has maintained that excellence. The tasting menu was delicious and not expensive. The restaurant is small but the staff and owner were both helpful and delightful. This is a great place for groups, couples,... More
