For a place that only offers a restaurant so you can experience the olive oils, the food in this tiny establishment is amazing. Because it is homemade and only produced for about 20 people per night, it is wonderful food that you won't find elsewhere. And the addition of the olive oil brings forth even more flavours. Thankfully we ordered... More

Thank you! Your patronage is as important to Oliviera as Alain Ducasse's inclusion in his "J'aime Monaco" guide. Alain Ducasse, one of the most renowned chefs in the world (Louis XV in Monaco), included us in his very posh guide for the inventiveness of our cuisine and the excellent sourcing of our oils. In his conclusion, he called Oliviera the... More

We went to this small restaurant while visiting our daughter and son-in-law who had discovered it several weeks earlier. Nadim & Regine welcomed us as if we were family. Every dish was hand-made by Regine: Cannellonois aux Cepes, Lapin sur pate, Feuillete Cretois and, especially the Tartare Meditarranean were all delicious. Perhaps we benefitted from visiting off-season but we will... More

After one year, I came back to Nice for a sport weekend (Prom Classic 2012) and came back to this little gem in Old Nice. Food was excellent, as always, and every time new flavours and dishes This time I ate a lasagna with (I think) pumpkin, tomatoes, eggplant, dry raisin and ginger...GREAT! Never eat something like this...believe me I'm... More

We received a nice welcome from the owner and after seating we were promised a taste of six of his olive oils and received one. After a good start things then went downhill. We felt totally forgotten and again was promised a taste of some oils which never arrived. After a long wait hoping we were going to be asked... More

We apologise for your experience, as we are more of an olive oil shop than a restaurant; this lack of attention was probably due to an exceptionally busy day. Our primary aim is to have people sample and enjoy the olive oils before, during and after the meal. Thank you for allowing us to correct that mishap on your next... More

We visited Oliviera from a recommendation in our guide book, and it was worth every cent. We were greeted by our very friendly host, who was more than happy to detail us with information about each dish, and each type of oil provided for different dishes - this is the amazing thing about the restaurant, how every item has it's... "Without those olive oils, home produced and fresh from the latest crop, the dishes would be half as good!", I love repeating. This is not said out of misplaced modesty; a lot of restaurant fail to top with high quality olive oils their otherwise good salads or entrées. Half the pleasure is lost. Thus my favorite above quote. What was... More

We had made reservation in person and the owner told us to come back when they open at 730pm. When we went back, the owner told us that he will not accommodate us. Seems like he does not like Americans or is racist. Would never go back because hospitality and service is the core of any business and their racist... More

Dear sir. Regardless of your experience, you will note that a majority of our clients are american, as seen by the many positive comments on TripAdvisor and other medias. Also, as I clearly remember your visit, please be very specific when you book, and not make a general statement such as "I might be back later". We have always respected... More

We went for lunch at Oliviera after having read the reviews on TripAdvisor. Having lived in the South of France for three years, I have begun to get a bit bored of the restaurants on offer here. Often they all feel a bit samey, and the menu doesn't seem to reflect the delicious ingredients we are surrounded with. I was... More

The coffee machine had gone dead early autumn, and the small replacement did not foam the milk! Next time around, you'll be treated to a coffee of noble origin, with or without milk! you are welcome. As far as our herbal tea, the verbena we use comes from a beautiful garden and is one with loads of recognised qualities, physiological... More

I recently had lunch at Oliviera in Old Nice with my mother and a friend. I enjoyed it so much that I went back for dinner with my husband a few days later. The Nice Olive oil, which is most probably the one you are mentioning, is our flagship oil. A fruitiness of spring almonds is what pops to mind as soon as you smell or taste it. The caillette is the variety of olive that oozes this nectar. This year is an exceptional vintage. I am glad you enjoyed it, and thank... More

Eating in someone's front room? that is the feeling I always have when receiving you! Credit cards are a big hassle for very small restaurants where costs compound, specially when you buy top products. there is also an ATM 20 meters away and we accept them online. On the lighter side, I always avoided having a partner who took no... More
