The restaurant is small. All it has is a chef and one host. (a host is also waiting). The chef is by himself. That's pretty amazing even for a small restaurant. He always comes out and asks how we enjoyed our dishes/ the likes & dislikes & what he can improve. I found that pretty amazing + friendly services. The... More

I booked this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews prior to travelling, I think booking is essential as it is extremely small and people were getting turned away. We opted for a set menu which was reasonably priced and the food was of a high standard. The service, however, left a little to be desired. There is only one chef... More

I have rarely eaten food which has such an innovative flair as at La Tour. How often do you eat food that brings a spontaneaous smile of enjoyment to your face? Says it all really. It is a small place (so you probably need to book) and it's not the most glamourous or stylish looking but that shouldn't put you... More

Very small restaurant near Les Halle (farmer's market). Food was very good, but service was pretty bad. Had to ask for glasses for the water. Then glasses for the beer. Don't even try to ask for a cocktail. Not much atmosphere. As I said, food was very good and a bit creative. But, unless you have some burning desire to... More

Our travel agent who happens to be from Avignon made this reservation for our group of eight from California. When we entered La Tour we were seated in the hallway where people have to pass to go to the toilet plus there was a sewer smell. The seating was very shabby and was not appropriate for such an expensive restaurant.... More

La Tour is tucked away in the heart of Avignon in a charming little courtyard. We (a family of four) had a great meal made by a creative chef for a very reasonable price.

We were so lucky to get in without booking on a Friday night as they had a cancellation. There are only a dozen tables with one chef and one waitress, but food was great and service excellent.

This was by far our most expensive meal in Avignon and it was good, plentiful but expensive. I had the first of their menus and had the most generous portion of foie gras ever, knowing how much it cost I ate it all but it was too much. The food was well prepared but the chef is a little scatterbrained... More

The food was savory and decently presented. The wait staff (there was only one) was very friendly and helpful. Try out their aperitif. When we dined they had a rum-based drink which got us setup for the night. :)

We just had a delightful and delicious meal here this evening. A very creative and attractive dinner in a charming setting. The service was good and it really made such a nice difference to have Chef Yves come out and check on things in-between making our dinner. I highly recommend and can't wait until we are back in Avignon to... More
