Modern, airy and centrally located (rue des Cuisiniers) crêperie serving an excellent choice of both savoury and sweet crêpes. Cheerful and friendly staff with good service. Like many shops in Bayeux, it is closed on Mondays. There are several excellent places to eat in Bayeux, but this is our favourite – certainly if you wish to enjoy local Breton crêpes.... More

I took six American clients to L’Insolite for lunch as we take many of our customers to this lovely town of Bayeux. The welcome to L’Insolite was nothing less than unfriendly, uncourteous, bordering rude. My six guests were seated before me and as the waiter had to make place to seat me, he jerked away a table right in front... More

A lovely family resto in the centre of Bayeux. Without question the best crêpes in town. The owner is charming and looks well after her clients. This is a simple restaurant In sum, a great value meal in a lovely historic city.

This restaurant is located about 100m from the cathedral on a quiet street. From the outside, the place looks empty, but don't be fooled by this, there is a wonderful courtyard at the rear of the property, so on a sunny day this is likely to be very busy. The inside of the restaurant is modern and super clean, the... More

This creperie is located a stone's throw away from the Bayeux Notre Dame Cathedral. If you're facing the main entrance of the cathedral, it's to your left on the same street. The main-course crepes were so good that we had 2 each. We were real porky piggies. We tried everything on the menu. The dessert crepes were ok but not... More

My husband and I picked this restaurant after looking at several restaurants in the area and were quite pleased. Service was good and both the meal and dessert crepes were quite good.

Menu consists largely of gallettes (non sweet dark flour crepes) with many different fillings which can be combined. Crepes are available too, although for lunch both would have been overdoing it. We dined in a pleasant courtyard patio.

Ths wonderful artisinal creperie was a short walk from the Hotel Churchil, and was never crowded, so a good place to go if you want a light and inexpensive meal. The quality of the ingredients was outstanding and everything is made to order. The server spoke limited English but enough to get by and was very accomodating. I had a... More

A delightful small creperie, reasonably priced, an excellent introduction to the quintessential French crepe. Friendly service, very pleasant.
