Unfortunately we were tired so went into this dive. The waiters were unbelievably rude and unhelpful. In addition the food was substandard and the restaurant dirty. It was a dreadful experience made more so by food poisoning.

We came here for breakfast as shopping mall has not yet opened. My son loves hotdog and they did not serve it for breakfast... But was willing to do it. Overall the food is good. We, family of 4, enjoyed our breakfast. There is also free wifi here.
Overpriced, rude waiters. Shabby interior. The food was not so good either. Half of the chart could not be ordered for some reason. Not a place I'd ever visit again.
Summary: good location, so-so food, but a terrible experience due to one very rude and condescending (head) waiter who should not be even be in the service industry. I should checked for reviews before going to this cafe, but being a tourist, food choices were pretty spontaneous.
Details: my family and I went to this cafe for lunch, and we...

The service is terrible, even it's located beside the Galeries Lafayette. When we got to this Cafe I talked to them in French, I've visited all France, and after a trip of 30 days I hadn't had any problem about that. My husband doesn't speak French and when he asked a question in English the waiters became so rude with...

Out of a full week in Paris, lunch at Cafe de L'Opera was by far the worst experience. The food was mediocre and over priced, even worse the service was horrible, the waiters were downright rude. Don't bother going there please, have lunch on the sixth floor of The Gallaries Lafayette.
Decent lunch across the street from Galleries Lafayette. Service was a little slow. The smoked salmon was good and reasonable while the caeser salad was fine it was overpriced at 14E
The eclectic, nouveau, French cuisine was quite innovative and tasty. The atmosphere, however, was a little sparse and institutional. Considering the opulence and grandeur of the Opera House itself, they could have at least had tablecloths on the tables!! It was also a little pricey.
Don't got there, horrible, rude service, waiters. it's not trendy, not good, not a place to be, expensive. You can find better place in Paris with nicer people.. hopefully....
We toured the Palace Garnier, across the street and then went here to get a cold drink and something to eat. Long wait, poor service once we were seated. Food was just okay, and pricey for what we ordered, drinks and a simple Nicoise Salad. Would not return.
